Japan Karate Association of Albany   is a local non-profit club, whose practitioners have provided training and education in the traditional Japanese martial art of Shotokan Karate-Do for over 40 years. We are a traditional martial arts club that emphasizes a holistic view to training both the body and the mind. We believe that philosophy and ideals are just as important to traditional martial arts as physical prowess.

Japan Karate Association of Brooklyn  founded in 1972, offers training in traditional Shotokan Karate-Do. The school is affiliated with the Japan Karate Association (JKA), a world-wide organization dedicated to encourage and assist students in their growth and understanding of Shotokan, and to promote the development of the art generally. It is also a member of Shotokan Karate-do International (SKDI). SKDI operates out of New York City and serves as the headquarters for many JKA clubs worldwide.

University of Connecticut JKA Karate Club  is dedicated to the study and teaching of traditional Shotokan karate-do. Our Chief Instructor is Robert Jacobs, 5th dan. The UConn Karate Club is affiliated with Shotokan Karate-Do International, which is headquartered in New York City under the direction of Master Masataka Mori, 8th dan. The club was founded in 1972 and is a member of The Japan Karate Association.
